POLITICAL EXPERIENCE AND POLITICAL ORGANIZATION MEMBERSHIPS:
1. What are the three biggest issues facing the City of Harahan and what is your position on those issues?
The biggest issue I feel in Harahan is the deterioration of the business community. This is where I think what I have learned over the past 21 years of building my business how to be an effective liaison to the new business looking for a home. Career politicians like my opponent need to move aside and let new faces with fresh ideas step up. In this economic environment we need some business men to lead the way.
2. If elected, how do you plan to interact with other Greater New Orleans parishes and governing entities to improve the quality of life for your constituents.
Greater New Orleans parishes are vital to all the surrounding governing entities. I am also following the district attorneys race very close. We need a better and safer flagship city to lead the way and the entire state will benefit. With these attributes we will have economic stability and growth.
3. What is your previous experience that will make you an effective and productive councilman of Harahan?
To be an effective councilman I know I will have to work hard and I want to work hard if my constituents will have me. I will immediately send out a call to all business that fit Harahan's way of life that we are open and willing to work hard to give you a home. Harahan's has to make it easy and maybe come up with an incentive to bring in business. With new business will come new families and more tax money, this will lessen the tax burden on the residents and help improve the city.
4. What process would you use to hire the best people to work for the city?
We need to hire people to help that have a since of ownership. These are the type of employee I look for and most often turn out to be the best and stay the longest.
5. Who is your role model, or who in your opinion, has been the most effective leader in the Greater New Orleans area.
Warren Buffet is my roll model. He started with very meager surroundings and really worked hard to achieve success. My father was hurt on the job when I was a kid and it has been tough to become successful from starting at such a poor place in my life. However I did it and I will not be denied, beaten down or have my dreams stolen away. My philosophy is that the worker always wins. I know I will always have a lot to learn and my mind is always open because we can always improve as people. I would have to say my roll model for our state would have to be the Governor Bobby Jindal. It is time for all the corruption and mismanagement to be over. We as voters need to stop putting corrupt politicians in office. Lets get together and clean this mess up. Do what you say and say what you do.
