Unabridged Stories Told by Individual Leaguers
On October 30, 2017, the League of Women Voters of New Orleans celebrates the 75th Anniversary of its founding. A documentary film narrating the one or two most significant League activities each decade was prepared by asking members who experienced that period of time (with the exception of the 1940s decade) to recall events. Interviews with these members were videotaped for up to thirty minutes each, but, to keep the documentary from running on too long, they were edited down to five to eight minutes each for the film. However, many interesting details were lost in the editing, so this document of their transcribed interviews was prepared to preserve them. My thanks to those members who graciously helped record this history of the League of Women Voters of New Orleans, 1940s + 2010s.
